Leg – Blast Workout!
My motto – WORK HARD…THEN CRAWL OUT OF THE GYM. This workout will do it for you!
This is my favorite way to work legs – intense and with short bursts of energy. This not only torches cellulite and fat off of your legs, but works your lungs and cardiovascular system as well. Your legs are made up of such big muscles that they require large amounts of oxygen to fuel them. Therefore, you not only burn fat during this workout, but you build amazing endurance as well!
Start by warming up on a treadmill, bike, or just walking for 5 minutes.
Do 20 repetitions of each exercise:
1. Jump Squats – lower down and then explode up
2. Alternating jumping lunges – lunge and then jump in air when alternating legs
3. Mountain Climbers – put hands on chair or workout bench and then do running motion with legs
Do 5 minutes of jump rope or other cardio (treadmill, bike, elliptical, etc.)
Do 20 repetitions of each exercise:
1. Step ups on bench – 20 each leg. Put one leg on bench and then step up to standing on the bench. Step back down and repeat with alternating legs.
2. Flying jumping jacks – jumping jacks in the air
3. Standing calf raises – raise up on both calves at the same time
Do another 5 minutes of jump rope or other cardio.
Repeat this entire series 3 times.
